Waratah Brass has started 2010 in fine form with its annual performance at the 2010 Australia Day Citizenchip Ceremony at the Newcastle Carriage Sheds. The band continues on with two performances in February, including one for our Southern fans at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre.
Our first concert for the year is at the Lake Macquarie Performing Arts Centre on Sunday 14th February - yes that's right, Valentines Day, and we're presenting a program of beautiful ballads, hits from yesteryear and a few surprises in store too. Plenty of our members are playing solo items including Allan Humbley (Cornet), Clarence Leung (Flugel), Leonie Wilks (Tenor Horn), Ossie Jellyman (Euphonium), Hannah Gibbons (Trombone), and maybe even a spot from our MD Warwick Tyrrell as well. On Sunday 21 February, the band heads back south to the Sutherland Entertainment Centre for another of our popular concerts at that venue. As always it will be an exciting concert full of fun music for everyone.
There's plenty more coming up during the year, so do watch this space!
